Everything you need to know about StudentNotes
StudentNotes is an AI-powered platform that helps UK students create comprehensive study materials from their documents, PDFs, and YouTube videos. We generate summaries, flashcards, and practice questions to enhance your learning experience.
Free users get 10 AI generations per month. You can earn bonus generations through our referral program - each successful referral grants you 5 additional generations.
We support PDF files, Word documents (.docx), plain text files (.txt), Markdown files (.md), and YouTube videos (via URL). Maximum file size is 10MB.
Our system uses advanced AI models from 3rd party providers to analyze your uploaded content and generate three types of study materials: comprehensive summaries with bullet points, interactive flashcards for memorization, and practice questions to test your understanding.
Yes! You can publish your notes to our public library where other students can benefit from them. Published notes can receive upvotes from the community and help you earn points.
Points are earned through various activities like uploading documents (10 points), generating AI notes (20 points), and publishing to the library (30 points). Streaks track consecutive days of activity and help you stay consistent with your studies.
Yes, we take data security seriously. Your personal notes are private by default and only accessible to you. We use secure authentication through NextAuth with support for email magic links, Google, and Microsoft accounts.
Absolutely! StudentNotes works with any subject or topic. Whether you're studying sciences, humanities, languages, or any other field, our AI can generate relevant study materials from your content.
You can earn additional generations through our referral program. Share your unique referral link with friends, and when they sign up, you'll receive 5 bonus generations. Your referral link is available in your dashboard.
Yes, you have full control over your notes. You can delete any note from your dashboard at any time. Note that if you've published a note to the library, deleting it will also remove it from public view.
Documents are processed up to 15,000 characters. If your document is longer, it will be truncated to ensure optimal AI processing and generation quality.
Currently, StudentNotes is designed for individual use. However, you can share your knowledge through the public library where other students can access and learn from your published notes.
